Huntmasters wanted!
Reckon you can help run a treasure hunt for a day? The Hunt is looking for some individuals/pairs to help organise hunts for this July in the following New Zealand cities:- Auckland
- Christchurch
- Hamilton
- Palmerston North
- Wellington
If you have a day to spare in July (usually a Saturday, 9:30am-3pm at the latest) and can help hide a Hunt Coin in one of these cities, we'd love to hear from you!
(Even if you're not in one of these cities, if you are still super keen to help run a hunt, please get in touch!)
Huntmaster duties include:
- Writing a short introduction in the hunt announcement
- Local knowledge of your city's area in choosing a hiding space
- Clue-writing assistance and testing
- Being on-location on a hunt day (note: you will not have to hang around the coin constantly)
- Meeting with hunt winners and taking a few photos
- Writing a post-hunt debrief
Other skills and requirements include:
- An interest in puzzle writing and/or treasure hunts
- Great english writing ability
- Decent understanding of Twitter, and technology in general
- A smartphone or tablet with internet connectivity (3G is best, as not all areas have reliable Wi-Fi coverage)
Please don't think this is a serious job interview or anything, because it isn't. This is a fun way to get outside in your city, meet some like-minded puzzle fans, and perhaps get some recognition in the local paper!
I'm looking for some people willing to donate a day every two months or so to help make this project even better, by taking it nationwide!

- Your name and email
- Your home city
- Any days that you are available to meet during July
- One or two sentences about you and any other interests
- Any questions, if you have them
I'll endeavour to reply as soon as I can... keep in mind that The Hunt is run during my free time so you may receive a reply late at night or at some other weird hour.
